Halfway through our Summer Activites Progam that a number of international guests came for, we decided to go out to the only halfway touristy spot that is at all near Dushanbe which is an old fortress that was apparently built around the 16th century. Of course many parts of it have been redone, and is being redone at the moment unfortunately, but we were not deterred and spent a lot of time in the museum that was across the way and located within an old madrassa, or Religious School.
